My 3 Favourite Kitchen Gadgets for any Xmas List!

8th December 2015 By thefamilynutritionexpert

There used to be a time when kitchen gadgets on a Christmas list were a big no no, but so many of us are in to taking care of ourselves and love the latest gadgets on sale. I certainly do! So I thought I would put together my top 3 wish list of kitchen gadgets… Some I have, some I hope to have! (by the way, I do not receive any commission or affiliate marketing commission for these…they are just things I love, think are useful for any nutrition savvy kitchen and thought you might enjoy reading about)!

  1. NutriBulletNutribullet… Thanks to my lovely husband, I got a Nutribullet last Christmas, and I love it.  I use it to get my greens, and greens into my kids (renamed as alien juice!) I also use it to blend super smooth soups, make pancake mixture, crumble topping, pesto, healthy ice cream and so much more. I would love a Vitamix, but I think the Nutribullet is a much more reasonable price at around £100 vs several hundred!
  1. Spiraliser… I don’t yet have one of these, but I do have a julienne tool, which is okay but doesn’t produce really long pieces of vegetable spirals.  It’s wonderful making noodles from vegetables, and a great way to get that “pasta” fix when you’re on a gluten free or low carb diet. There are loads of spiralisers around, I have heard the Hemsley and Hemsley one is good, but there are lots of others. If you are making courgetti pasta do remember to add some protein as well to help you feel fuller for longer. Spiraliser I hope for soon… (plus they are reasonably priced at around £25).

Spiralizer

  1. Dehydrator… There are so many different ones available, ranging from around £30 to £300.  Those who have the best say the cheaper ones just don’t cut it, and many of my clients say they spent money on a cheaper one, only to realise you need to invest in a good machine. The beauty of dehydrators is that you can make your own fruit leathers, vegetable chips, seed and nut crackers…. This one will have to wait until next year due to the price tag!
